How to succeed as a delivery partner

As an Amazon Flex delivery partner, you delight Amazon customers by bringing important packages and groceries to their doorsteps every day. You can deliver on your schedule and bring smiles to people in your own way, and we know you care about being successful in what you do.

The Standings feature in the Amazon Flex app is a great way to see how your deliveries compare to program expectations. There are four possible standings: Fantastic, Great, Fair, and At Risk. Most delivery partners have a Fantastic or Great standing, which means you’re providing excellent customer service. A high standing also means you’re earning more Amazon Flex Rewards points for every delivery, and gaining quicker access to rewards like Preferred Scheduling and higher cash back on gas.

If you’d like to better understand your standing and learn how to improve deliveries, visit the Standing Details screen in your Amazon Flex app. You’ll find an interactive graph that shows events in your delivery history that influenced your standing, along with helpful suggestions from fellow delivery partners.

Here are three important things that can help you succeed as a delivery partner:

Safety

Your safety and the safety of customers and community members is important when delivering with Amazon Flex. Take care of yourself, drive safely, follow the law, and treat other people with respect and kindness. We also expect others to be respectful of you, and we hold community members, employees, and delivery partners accountable to the Amazon Flex Workplace Harassment Policy.

Reliability

With Amazon Flex, you work only when you want to, and you have the flexibility to schedule and cancel blocks. For any block you have scheduled, we do expect you to arrive and check in at the pickup location within 5 minutes of the start time. If you can’t make it to a block, or think you’ll be late, then we expect you to cancel it at least 45 minutes before it starts (or within 5 minutes of scheduling, if you scheduled the block less than 45 minutes before it starts).

Delivery quality

Delivery quality is about getting packages to the right place at the right time. We expect you to contact customers if you need help accessing a delivery location, to do your best to follow reasonable customer instructions in the Amazon Flex app, and to place packages in a safe location.

Focusing on these areas will help you succeed with Amazon Flex and get closer to what you're driving toward.
