Delivering packages (and sometimes furry friends) to homes across the country
As an Amazon Flex delivery partner, you deliver packages and smiles to Amazon customers all the time. Recently, a few of you have gone above and beyond by delivering lost pets back home to their families.

Barbara in Pittsburgh, PA
Delivery partner since 2018
Barbara was about three miles from her last delivery stop of the day when she turned onto a busy highway and saw a dog dodging cars. Several people had parked on the side of the road to try to catch it, but when Barbara parked her car and opened her door, the dog went right up to her.
The dog didn’t have an ID tag, so Barbara planned to take it to the police station when she finished her delivery block.
As she neared the final customer’s home, she saw someone consoling an elderly man in the driveway.
“They looked up to see me approaching with a happy dog in the passenger seat,” Barbara said. “As I was trying to tell them the situation the dog was in, the elderly man began crying and ran to my car.”
It was his dog.
As luck or fate would have it, the man lived next door to the customer and was talking to his neighbor at precisely the right moment. His dog had gotten loose earlier in the day, and the whole neighborhood had been looking for him.
Thanks to Barbara’s actions, the search was over and everyone got home safe.

Jessica in Arlington, VA
Delivery partner since 2016
Jessica spotted a muddy pup darting in and out of the road during a rainy early morning delivery block in Arlington, Virginia. Thinking quickly, Jessica grabbed a small bag of popcorn she had stored in her center console and shook the bag to get the dog’s attention. Sure enough, the dog, whose name was Charlotte, jumped right into her backseat.
Jessica left a voicemail at the number listed on Charlotte’s tag and quickly heard back from Charlotte’s distraught family.
“You have no idea!” Charlotte’s owner said. “She got out at nine o’clock last night, and we spent hours in the rain looking for her!”
Jessica assured the family that she would bring Charlotte right over.
The family lived only a mile up the road, but Charlotte’s family was concerned that Jessica would have trouble getting there, since the home was tucked away and difficult to locate. Jessica confidently told the woman that she was an Amazon Flex delivery partner and would be able to get there without issue.
“I can do it,” Jessica said. She reached back and gave Charlotte a second handful of popcorn before heading to the house where she reunited the pup with the thankful family.
Now, Jessica always keeps a leash and an extra bag of popcorn in her car. Just in case.

Edie in Las Vegas, NV
Delivery partner since 2018
Edie lives in Las Vegas and has always favored early morning blocks to start her day. While making a recent delivery, she discovered a small dog that looked lost and scared. So, she pulled over and checked the dog’s collar for a tag. She found his name, Yoshi, along with a phone number.
“I called several times, but no one picked up,” Edie said. “He was happy in the car and even came over and sat in my lap while I was parked, so I decided the best plan was to keep him with me while I made deliveries until I could get in touch with his family.”
Yoshi turned out to be an excellent delivery sidekick. After a few hours on the road, Edie heard back from Yoshi’s family and brought him home safely.
Edie and Yoshi were recently featured on People.com for their special delivery story. You can read the article here.
We are so grateful for delivery partners like Barbara, Jessica and Edie. So many of you continually go above and beyond to make sure every package – and even a few lost pets – arrive safely at their destinations.
